Merry Christmas

A lot has happened this year, both within the clan and the community as a whole. Most notably for us as a clan is the additon of some new members and the departure of some old friends.
As we come to the end of another year, and add yet another year to the age of the game we all know and love, we would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year!
Lets hope we get some memorable games over this holiday season!
AsG Weekend

This weekend 16th Dec - 18th Dec plan on seeing a stronger than usual showing of AsG on the matchmaker. This is largely due to the time of year and a few members starting christmas break so free time is more of the essence than it usually is. Also playing a part is the sheer fact we all wanted a weekend where we could get together and have a few games!
This is not officially an AsG playdate but dont be surprised to see the usual playdate activity!

We regret to announce the departure of both Ana and Node from our AsG family. Both decided for personal reasons that AsG was no longer for them and departed, doing so on good terms. I would just like to take this opportunity on the behalf of the remaining members to wish them both all the best in the future and to tell them that they will be missed.
On a more promising note, congratulations to Sewer who has recently been promoted to Æsir and is now taking an influential role in council decissions.
Moving on from clan affairs we can get onto what affects the community as a whole! As I'm sure the majority of you are aware, the "God of Gods Tourny" is coming to a close and for the first time in its history both finalists are from AsG. Not only is this a first for AsG but also the first time two members from the one clan have been in the final. No matter the outcome, we wish both Ragnj and Nefarius the best of luck! Whoever wins will add another AsG victor to the previous AsG "God of" winners meaning AsG will have won every "God of" tourney except one where Storm was bettered by Genesis. Adding these stats to the flawless 3 of 3 world cup wins for AsG members proves why Asgard has the status in the community it deserves.
On a personal note, some of you may have noticed my drop in activity in the last 8 to 10 months on the MM. This has been due to me moving to the USA and working. I do hope to catch up with everyone again soon and if you see me in the MM please feel free to drop me a message!

Happy Birthday Asgard! Today Asgard is celebrating its sixth birthday. We are confident that there will be many further years of activity, fun and success!
Another great happening that I would like to announce is that Tacuara has joined the clan as Vanir on August 03, after 38 days of recruitment. We hope he feels well amongst our ranks!
After the curious and sudden disappereance of Boyd, who was a part of the administration team, the clan has decided to promote Apnea to a member of the high council. Her official title is Frigg from now on. We are sure she will do a great job!

Spring 2011

Quite some time has passed since the last News article; meanwhile there have been some noteworthy happenings.
Tarigon, who joined the clan at the end of 2010 as a Valkyrie, got promoted to Vanir in January. We're very glad to have him here.
Our latest addition, Maximus, was accepted to Åsgard in March and has been a fully fledged Vanir since May. Congratulations and a warm welcome!
Hugz, who had been a recruit of the clan since October of last year, unfortunately didn't make the cut.
That's all for now. We're looking forward to updating some sections of the site, so keep your eyes open for changes!
